Preventive Maintenance Plans
The staff at Bodine-Scott is dedicated to cultivating long-term relationships with our customers in Corpus Christi and the surrounding communities. We are available for urgent issues with your home comfort system, but we also encourage our residential customers to invest in preventive maintenance before seasonal use of heating and cooling equipment to ensure excellent performance with minimum energy costs.
Invest in a Maintenance Agreement
HVAC maintenance heating and air conditioning service is important, but it’s easy to forget about this service as seasonal activities fill your schedule. With our Smart 1 Agreement, we can schedule your seasonal service to ensure that you don’t begin the heating or cooling seasons without your equipment being ready.
Smart 1 Agreement
Bodine-Scott offers a twice-yearly residential service program designed to help you maintain your home’s cooling and heating equipment while saving money. Your Smart 1 Agreement will include:
- A 10 percent discount on all parts and labor (excludes coil cleanings and new system equipment)
- No Overtime, Anytime®
- Priority response always
- One fall inspection and one spring inspection for your cooling and heating system
Air Conditioning Maintenance
As system checkups are the backbone of the Smart 1 Agreement, we recommend that you schedule preventive maintenance for your cooling system during the spring months so that your equipment can be inspected, cleaned, and adjusted before the weather heats up. Typical use during one summer can result in an efficiency decrease of approximately five percent. This is often due to the buildup of dirt on condenser coils, but other issues can crop up to compound that decrease in efficiency. Our technicians will check:
- Filter (check only)
- Refrigerant Levels
- Voltage
- Blowers
- Blower Motor
- Fan Motor
- Condensate Drain
- Contactor
- Shaft Bearing
- Capacitors
- Thermostat
- Amperage
- Condenser Coil
- Belts
If any parts are broken or worn out, our team will make the necessary recommendations and fixes that will bring your system back up to manufacturer specifications.
Heating Maintenance
The type of heating system in place will determine the steps needed to optimize your equipment. Although a heat pump is inspected in the spring for cooling performance, an additional tuneup is recommended during the winter months for heating functions. We also service furnaces, boilers, and other heating equipment. Your fall preventive maintenance checkup will include:
- Heat Exchanger
- Belts
- Filter
- Pilot
- Blower
- Burners
- Flue Pipes
- Heat Strips
- Fan Control
- Shaft Bearing
- Limit Control
- Furnace Wiring
- Thermostat
- Thermocouple
- Blower Motor
- Draft Diverter
- Heat Anticipator
- Safety Features
Because many residential fires during winter are caused by faulty heating equipment, a fall inspection is an important investment in your family’s safety and well-being.
In addition to our Smart 1 Agreement, we offer a variety of other HVAC services for your indoor comfort needs.
- Complete installation of heating and air conditioning systems including ductwork
- Replacement of heating and air conditioning equipment
- Duct cleaning
- Ultra violet air purifiers
- Indoor air quality solutions
- Factory warranty repairs

- Maintenance agreements on multi-family residences
Preventive care is one of the best ways to be certain that your home comfort equipment offers the maximum in comfort levels, and regular inspections also limit the impact of seasonal heating and cooling on your household budget.
